Koda at St. Mary's Glacier

Hi everyone! Can you believe 2020 is almost over? OMG, are we ready or what?! While this year was certainly one of the worst in many ways and for many people and businesses, we are grateful that we still got to meet plenty of adorable furkids this year. In fact, we were shocked to realize that we actually met more furkids than any other year in our 6-yr history of WYTP. One of the furkids we met this year was ridiculously good-looking Koda! 😍🐾! This 3 year old white Alaskan Malamute pretty much stole our hearts on our epic adventure session at St. Mary’s Glacier a few weeks ago. And the crazy thing is, this little snowbird just moved to Colorado from FLORIDA this past March – imagine his wide eyes when he saw snow for the first time! ❄️ 👀 Here’s a little bit about Koda – AKA “crazy pants”’s – backstory.

Koda came from his momma’s sister’s litter of Alaskan Malamutes and was the runt of the litter. Even though he’s a big boy, he’s actually on the smaller side for his breed, weighing in at around 70 lbs. While his mom wasn’t expecting to get a dog in the middle of law school, he was just a bundle of energy and sass that she couldn’t resist! I mean, who can blame her?!? Koda soon became the perfect law school pup – he even got his Juris Dogtorate from her law school + his diploma is framed just like hers! 🎓⚖️ How cool is that? They moved to Colorado since mom’s a JAG officer in the Air Force, and it’s been the best move ever! 👏🏻🤩 Koda loves bikejoring, going swimming, meeting new dogs, chasing bunnies (there are so many more bunnies in Colorado than Florida!) and playing with squeaky Kong balls. His favorite treat is either chicken jerky or boiled chicken bits. And he may be the 1% of dogs that doesn’t like peanut butter, go figure! Our session with Koda was so much fun. A true adventure… we hiked, we slipped on ice, we played in the snow and just gasped at the natural beauty that is Colorado. It was the pawfect setting for this snowbird/snowdog, and we’re so happy we got to tag along and capture it all! 💙😃📸🐶☃️ Here are some of our favorite photos from Koda’s session, we hope you enjoy them! If you’d like to capture your furbaby on an epic adventure shoot somewhere in the Colorado mountains, reach out here and let’s chat!
