Puppy Dash Winter Session at Loveland Pass
World, please meet cutie-patootie Dash! 💞🐶🐾 We got to meet this GORG little girl this January for an insanely beautiful + windy Rocky Mountains session at Loveland Pass.
Dash + her dad were here for a few days for a visit and dad wanted to schedule a session to capture this Louisiana pup getting her first taste of snow and the mountains. Of course, I squealed with excitement when he reached out! 🤩👏🏻 While Dash hails from New Orleans, she is a Bernerdoodle, and snow, Berners + Colorado just mesh so well. 🤗 Dash is only about 5 months old and joined her new dad the morning of Hurricane Zeta’s landfall in New Orleans. As we quickly learned, Dash is a real smarty and already graduated from adult level 1 training last week! 🥳 Her dad describes her as generally calm, yet very friendly to other dogs + hoomans. And boy is he right! Dash was such a sweet love-bug during our session and came over to give me lots of kisses all morning long! 🥰 She got to romp in the snow, pose in front of the Rockies and have some super fun QT with her dad. While it was 100% one of the c🥶ldest + windiest shoots we’ve had to date, you gotta make the best of it – especially when your window of opportunity is so short like for Dash + and her pops who were only here for 3 days. They were both super-troopers🥇, and we got some beauuuutiful photos to perfectly capture their visit to ColoRADo. 😃
This adventure session took place at Loveland Pass, which is a gorgeous and rugged location, not for the faint of heart! While there’s not much walking or hiking involved, you’re up at 12,000 feet and the elevation and weather can get to you. But, without a doubt, if you and your furkid can handle it, it sure makes for the most perfect mountain + snow setting you could ever imagine. Poor Colorado!
If you’d like to schedule your own adventure session in the mountain, reach out and let’s chat!
