Rosie Part 1 | Cozy at Home
Hello friends, and happy March! It’s crazy to think that 2021 is already this far into it, but I love that we are getting closer to warmer days and Spring! Today, I want to tell you all about our amazing session with Rosie the adorable Basset mix. Rosie’s momma reached out with a special request to have Rosie’s session be a 2-parter, the first half being captured in their cozy home relaxing and showcasing their daily life, and the second part at Rosie’s favorite local park. We booked the entire afternoon with Miss Rosie, and to no one’s surprise, we fell head over heels in love with this cutie. For this blog, I wanted to share part 1 of Rosie’s session with us, which I’m fondly calling “Rosie Cozy at Home”. I hope you enjoy it!
Full name: Rosario Roast Beef Rosencrantz; Age: ~ 10; adoption anniversary 11/12/12; breed: Basset Hound Bulldog mix. Rosie was being fostered when her momma rescued her through a basset hound rescue. She was found on a highway in NM + had recently delivered a litter. Rosie had heartworm, hip dysplasia, was missing several teeth + had a bullet lodged in her hip. 😔 But, after a week-long trial period, she knew they were right for each other + so started the story of the most beautiful bond. 🧡 Rosie is an old soul. Her favorite treats are broccoli, banana, blueberries, PB, rawhides + all the cookies from the dog bakery. She will magically jump off the couch from a deep slumber when she hears the words “breakfast” and “dinner”. 😂🥪 Rosie is so much more than a pet. She’s a true companion.
As her mom so beautifully told us: “She’s the softest, snuggliest, and most compassionate creature I have ever known, and nearly everyone who meets her simply adores her… Rosie has always been there for me. She’s my child, my sister, my confidant. We understand each other, truly. She looks deep into my eyes in a way most people are incapable of. She’s my world, my absolute everything. She’s my heart.” 🥰 I can tell you from experience, Rosie does look into your eyes, and her heart speaks to you without her saying a peep. This sweet girly stole our hearts. While Rosie had recently been diagnosed with cancer and was undergoing chemo when we met her, it’s abundantly clear that there is nothing, not even a health set-back, that will keep her from giving all of her heart and love to her mom, everyday. She is her heart dog. 💜🐶❤️ We’re keeping our fingers and paws crossed for this sweet girl!
